Candidate Endorsements

Political candidate endorsements provide us with a powerful tool to impact elections. Ultimately, our goal is to elect candidates who will let you run your business without unnecessary, costly government regulations.

The ORA's Board of Directors established the following criteria for making endorsements:

  • the candidate's voting record on issues impacting the restaurant industry;

  • responses to the ORA Candidate Questionnaire;

  • the candidate's relationship with association members;

  • our perception of whether the candidate is approachable and open-minded;

  • the candidate's leadership skills; and

  • his or her electability.

Along with the results of the questionnaire, our PAC Committee reviewed demographic information and political intelligence provided by staff. The Board’s vote is reflected in the list below.
