Ohio ProStart Matching Scholarship Program
With this program, Foundation partners and participating businesses have an opportunity to reach out to students on a state level and positively impact the future workforce. The specific Foundation matching amount of each donation will be determined by the ORAEF and Scholarship Committee based on the total monies available in the scholarship fund. If you would like to participate in this matching scholarship program for the 2011 – 2012 school year, please contact the ORA Education Foundation at 877.442.9374. Ohio ProStart Branded Scholarship - Customized
Name a scholarship for your company or in honor of an individual. The ORAEF staff will assist you in personalizing this scholarship.
ORAEF Philanthropic Scholarship (Personalized)
This scholarship is designed to help students, teachers, or schools. These scholarship monies help support a student who needs assistance buying a school uniform, a teacher trying to attend a workshop or Summer Institute, or a ProStart school needing to buy supplies for their classrooms or labs. This sponsorship is personalized according to the donor's criteria.
Give Something Back Scholarship - $1000
Mr. Bob Carr, Founder and CEO of Heartland Payment Systems, donated money for this scholarship as a tribute to his mother who worked as a waitress for over 35 years and to the foodservice industry of which he worked while attending college. These scholarship monies are available to the child of an ORA member who wants to continue post-secondary culinary learning. Scholarship monies are distributed directly to the college instead of directly to the student so that the student remains eligible for assistance from the college.
